Disneyland Park
The OG. Two miles from Clubhouse '55's front door and an easy drive from AvoCottage. Bring sunscreen, bring snacks, stay until the fireworks. Distance: 2 miles from Clubhouse '55, 12 miles from AvoCottage.
Newport Beach
Sandy crescents, the Balboa Peninsula, and the best fish tacos in the OC. Bike the boardwalk, paddle the bay, or just lay there. Distance: 6 miles from AvoCottage.
Angel Stadium & Honda Center
Catch the Angels in summer or the Ducks in winter. Both venues are within five miles of Clubhouse '55. Distance: 3 miles from Clubhouse '55
South Coast Plaza
One of the country's largest luxury shopping destinations. Plan a half-day and finish with dinner at one of the on-site restaurants. Distance: 5 miles from AvoCottage.
Knott's Berry Farm
The other Anaheim theme park. Roller coasters, fried chicken dinners, and Boysenberry Festival in spring. Distance: ~5 miles from Clubhouse '55.
Old Towne Orange
Antiquing, vintage diners, and a walkable circle of indie shops. Sunday morning sweet spot. Distance: ~5 miles from AvoCottage.
San Diego
What's Nearby in San Diego
Craft cocktails, surf, and the world's best zoo. From our Sherman Heights bungalow, almost everything is ten minutes away.
Petco Park
Watch a Padres game in arguably the most beautiful ballpark in baseball. Walk over with friends; Uber back. Distance: 1.5 miles.
Gaslamp Quarter
Sixteen blocks of restaurants, rooftop bars, jazz clubs, and late-night bites. The center of San Diego nightlife. Distance: 1.5 miles.
San Diego Zoo
World-class, fully shaded, and worth a full day. Get there at opening for the pandas and orangutans. Distance: 2.5 miles.
Coronado Beach
Wide white-sand beach, the iconic Hotel del Coronado, and bike-rental stands at every corner. Take the ferry across the bay. Distance: 6 miles.
SeaWorld San Diego
Roller coasters, dolphin encounters, and Mission Bay sunsets all in one park. Distance: 7.5 miles.
La Jolla Cove
Sea lions, snorkeling with leopard sharks, and tide pools at low tide. The most photogenic stretch of coast in the city. Distance: ~13 miles.

A few things we'd tell a friend.
You'll want a car (mostly)
OC and SD are spread out. Rent at the airport. Boho Bungalow guests can survive on Uber within downtown San Diego, but a car opens up Coronado, La Jolla, and the beaches.
When to go
Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the sweet spot. Lower crowds, perfect weather. Summer is peak Disney season; book stays early.
Buy theme park tickets ahead
Disneyland, SeaWorld, and Knott's all use day-tier pricing. Booking 2-3 weeks ahead saves real money and locks in your preferred date.
